Our mission is rooted in the belief that cemeteries are more than resting places—they are repositories of stories, memories, and a tangible link to our shared past. The Mount Pisgah Project strives to safeguard this connection by establishing a comprehensive online archival site.

Under the guidance of Maxine Cook, whose passion for preserving family history ignited this initiative, we aim to create a digital space that serves as a repository for documents, stories, and historical records associated with those laid to rest in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.

Brandi Berry, a dedicated professor at Lincoln University, brings her expertise as the project manager to ensure the seamless organization and execution of this preservation effort. Tamia Johnson, our social media intern, will help us connect with a wider audience and share the rich narratives embedded within the cemetery's history.

Warren Taylor, our historian, will meticulously research and document the stories of those interred at Mount Pisgah, contributing to the creation of a comprehensive and accurate historical record.

The Mount Pisgah Project website will serve as a digital archive, offering a platform to explore genealogical records, personal narratives, and historical context, thereby preserving the legacy of the individuals buried at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Together, we embark on a journey to honor our heritage, celebrate family connections, and ensure that the stories of the past continue to resonate with future generations. Join us in this meaningful endeavor to preserve the cherished history of Mount Pisgah.
